How it works ?
In the applet below, you can enter the following values using the sliders or input boxes:
The height of a right circular cone. Applet accepts values ranging from 0 – 50 cm.
The ratio of the height to the radius. In this applet, you can enter any h/rvalue from 0 to 5. The value of dh/dt(which remains constant). You can choose any value from -(5cm/sec) to (5cm/sec).
The applet will display, if you choose, corresponding values of dr/dt and dV/dt.
You can use this applet to check your solutions to related-rates problems involving matter filling up or draining from a right circular cone where dh/dt is constant.
